Ali is the Founder and Managing Partner at Fatah & Company Advocates in Nairobi where he is an active legal practitioner. He is also currently engaged as legal counsel by the Parliamentary Service Commission in the Office of the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budgeting - Hon. Sen. Capt. Ali Ibrahim Roba.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from Mount Kenya University and a Post Graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law (KSL). He is also trained as a Certified Secretary (CS).

Ali is married with two children.
