His extensive work experience includes serving as the Director of the Liaison Office for Mandera County Government from January 2018 to April 30th, 2023. Before this, he has consulted for various international development agencies such as The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, the Swedish Embassy, Nairobi, Kenya, UNHCR, LWF/DWS in Kakuma, Kenya, International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Dadaab and Nairobi, Cultural Orientation Unit, MSF Spain among others.

Suleiman has a passion for community empowerment and sustainable development that led him to start a non-for-profit NGO called Greenland Aid and Development (GLAD) which has been operational for over a decade and has had an immense impact on the lives of the community members.

Suleiman Roba is a PhD candidate at the University of Nairobi, Department of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS) has a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) also from the University of Nairobi.

He is an Expert in Technical Development & Governance with over a decade wealth of experience in governance, resource mobilisation, liaison, stakeholder engagements and mobilisation, preparation and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans, community livelihood restoration, capacity building, peace building, conflict resolution and countering violent extremism, humanitarian response and disaster management, Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRMs) and setting up GRMs. Ibrahim is a Member of the Diplomacy Scholars Association of Kenya (DIPSAK).
